IBM's last attempt to hold the desktop typesetting market came in 1978 when IBM announced the IBM Mag Card Selectric Composer. This machine had the capability to save documents onto magnetic cards. The cards each can hold a couple thousand characters of typing. This allowed for the operator to enter and save a document, and then later make revisions. This is my prize jewel, as I have not been able to locate another one anywhere.
